BESTAS DO DIA
A collection of Brazilian animals transformed into graphic symbols.
Inspired by the tension between folk art, editorial illustration, printmaking, and contemporary graphic design, this project explores the visual power of three iconic creatures: the Jaguar, the Toucan, and the Heron.
Rather than representing nature realistically, each animal becomes a design system of shapes, textures, colors, and symbols. Every illustration was developed as a standalone visual identity while remaining connected through a shared language of contrast, rhythm, and handcrafted imperfection.
BESTAS DO DIA is an exercise in turning Brazilian fauna into graphic presence.

Uma coleção de animais brasileiros transformados em símbolos gráficos.
Inspirado pela tensão entre arte popular, ilustração editorial, gravura e design gráfico contemporâneo, este projeto explora a força visual de três criaturas icônicas: a Onça-Pintada, o Tucano e a Garça.
Mais do que representar a natureza de forma realista, cada animal se torna um sistema visual de formas, texturas, cores e símbolos. Cada ilustração foi desenvolvida como uma identidade própria, mantendo uma linguagem compartilhada de contraste, ritmo e imperfeição manual.
BESTAS DO DIA é um exercício de transformar a fauna brasileira em presença gráfica.

JAGUAR
The jaguar appears as strength, silence, and territory.
Its spots become graphic patterns. Its face becomes an icon. Its presence becomes a visual structure capable of occupying posters, objects, and spaces with the same intensity.
ONÇA-PINTADA
A onça surge como força, silêncio e território.
Suas manchas se transformam em padrões gráficos. Seu rosto vira ícone. Sua presença se torna uma estrutura visual capaz de ocupar pôsteres, objetos e espaços com a mesma intensidade.
From the ground to the canopy.
The project moves from weight and power to color and movement, exploring a different side of Brazilian wildlife through shape, rhythm, and contrast.
Do chão para as copas das árvores.
O projeto sai do peso e da força para chegar à cor e ao movimento, explorando outra face da fauna brasileira através da forma, do ritmo e do contraste.
TOUCAN
The toucan is transformed into color.
Its oversized beak becomes composition, balance, and direction. Bright colors and ornamental details create a visual language that moves between tropical imagery, graphic design, and editorial illustration.
TUCANO
O tucano se transforma em cor.
Seu bico exagerado se torna composição, equilíbrio e direção. As cores vibrantes e os detalhes ornamentais criam uma linguagem visual que transita entre o imaginário tropical, o design gráfico e a ilustração editorial.
The rhythm slows down.
After the intensity of the jaguar and the exuberance of the toucan, the project shifts toward contemplation, gesture, and balance.
O ritmo desacelera.
Depois da intensidade da onça e da exuberância do tucano, o projeto se aproxima da contemplação, do gesto e do equilíbrio.
HERON
The heron represents observation.
Long lines, negative space, and symbolic elements create a quieter composition where movement is suggested rather than shown. It is the most delicate piece in the collection, built through tension between fragility and presence.
GARÇA
A garça representa observação.
Linhas longas, espaços vazios e elementos simbólicos criam uma composição mais silenciosa, onde o movimento é sugerido em vez de mostrado. É a peça mais delicada da coleção, construída pela tensão entre fragilidade e presença.
The collection comes full circle.
Three animals. Three visual systems. Three different ways of translating Brazilian nature into graphic language.
Together, they form a universe where fauna becomes symbol, color becomes structure, and illustration becomes design.
